a white lace of words. a blue pearl on the tongue. wings slap against the glass lintel, rising upward. welcome to the winged moon’s first live poetry readings.
i am accompanied today by MaryAnne Bernardo, a frequent collaborator to the magazine with her poetry and photographs. she also is a prolific poetry reader on instagram, with many enjoying her warmth and genuine appreciation of poetry and the craft.
today we will be sharing work from the most recent chapter of the winged moon’s first print edition, ‘portrait’.
here are a list of the poets and their writing featured;
'before the interview' Sun Hesper Jansen ‘shakespeare the chandos portrait’ Julian Mann 'ancestry' E.M. Davis ‘lament’ Letitia Jiju 'name all the ways the body changes' B.L. Bruce ‘seaweed’ Damon Hobbs 'in praise of' Meribeni T Murry
we are just tumbling out of the egg, touched still with after birth, so we would love your support to really fly with these live readings. Do you know any great poetry or poets that you would love to hear that fit alongside the ideas of the winged moon. would you like special guests or longer episodes. we’d love to hear from you.
until next week
